Exciting News! 2 Great Companies Become 1! As of January 21, WebWeavers Technology Group Merged with Sundog Media.
Greetings,
About
a month ago while outlining the New Year's newsletter to our clients, I
outlined some goals that we had for 2008. The third one that I
listed was worded this way ~ "Grow our team and services." Little did I
know how quickly this goal would be met. Let me tell you the
story.
Just after preparing the first 2008 newsletter to send to
you, we received a call from Ginger Stock-McKenzie, the owner of
WebWeavers Technology Group. Ginger explained that her family has
been struggling with some health issues and she concluded it would be
best for her to sell the company. After researching various
companies throughout the state, she determined that Sundog Media would
be the best possible match to provide a home for both her clients and
her staff.
To best explain the merger let me quote from Ginger's message to her clients.
From Ginger:
Recently, I realized that while my commitment to you as my clients has
always been a main objective, I could not ignore the fact that my
commitment to my husband and his health concerns had become my main
priority.
In
early January, I placed a call to Joe Law, owner of Sundog Media. I
shared with him that I was looking for a "home" for my clients and my
staff. I have admired his work for quite some time and I wanted
to know if he was interested in providing that home. I also
shared that after researching and evaluating other companies, I was
convinced that Joe's (and his team's) character and business practices were a perfect fit.
Today,
I am happy to announce the merger of two great Alaskan companies,
Sundog Media and WebWeavers Technology Group and the sale of WebWeavers
to the only company I would trust to take care of you the way you have
come to expect. I am excited to see what my future will hold, but also
want you to know that I will be heavily involved in the transition and
a Consultant for Sundog Media for years to come. You can't get
rid of me that easily! ☺
Of course, I do not want to get
rid of her either. In fact, I am very excited to not only have an
expanded team with much valuable experience but to have Ginger continue
on as a consultant for Sundog Media. My vision for this merger is
to take the best of what has made both of us successful, decade-long
Alaskan companies and merge it into an even better and more exciting
future.
For those of you who are wondering, "What's with the
FROG and the DOG?" WebWeavers has a mascot frog named Melvin.
As part of the merger agreement, Melvin has been guaranteed a
place in the new company for life. Not wanting him to be lonely,
we created Sunny, the "Sundog" based off our Vizsla puppy named
Abby. Now Melvin also has company!
So ~ Here's to the Dog and Frog ~ Chums for Life!
