Joe and Cathy Law founded Sundog Media in 1996. Our story begins after we left Moscow, Idaho to not only seek out an adventure to Alaska but also to recommit our lives to God. (The full story of that trip is at North to Alaska. It is hard to believe that this was so many years ago and now so many kids ago (5 boys). Cathy and I feel very strongly that our Christian faith and values need to be a prominent part of our business and act as the compass for guiding our decisions. It is important that you understand a little of what makes this company and the founders tick. We often define success in very non-traditional ways and, although we don’t always get it perfectly, we strive to apply Christian biblical principles to all aspects of this company. We like to joke that we are some of those crazy conservative Christians and we try not to only be fans of Christ but also be followers. Heck, our company name spelled backwards even reads “God N Us”; almost like it was on purpose. 🙂

(Big Hairy Audacious Goal) in case you were wondering…
For years I have sought out the very popular business concept of a BHAG that I felt was worthy of my and our teams’ passion. I have concluded, at least for us, that our BHAG is as simple as waking up each day excited to serve our customers and each other with the gifts that God has given each of us and enjoying the results as this takes place over time. I’m as much excited about the journey of those I’m journeying with as I am about the potential outcome.
Colossians 3:23 – “Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for men.”
