Computers and phones used for Sundog Media business activities must have adequate security and passwords in place to protect the confidential information contained on them. Correspondence with customers and other employees should typically be posted / responded to in Basecamp, so that other members of our team and the customer’s team can review them when necessary. Private messages with other Sundog Media team members within a customer’s Basecamp project are to be used to communicate customer needs/concerns, especially when personal opinions are expressed.
Sundog Media may monitor or review other employee online activity from time to time to ensure company and customer information is adequately secure, protected and kept confidential.
Email sent from Sundog Media email addresses and within the Basecamp projects should be treated like a written letter rather than like a phone conversation as an email message can be permanently stored and is easily disseminated with the inadvertent press of the “forward” button. Neither email nor Basecamp messages should contain any type of offensive, harassing, fraudulent, defamatory, or otherwise illegal language.
Confidential Sundog Media and customer information, trade secrets and communications of customer information is to be disseminated only to those with the authority approved of by the respective owners. For obvious reasons, user names and passwords should never be disseminated in the same email or Basecamp message.
